May is sometimes poetically called "month of love", April is widely known as "crazy month" and March is for ages devoted to books. February is fixed in our minds as shortest month of the year, which starts in the same day as above mentioned March, or November. Its not true in the case of current year which is intercalary.
But this is not the only change coming this February. We would like to draw your attention to changes connected with basketball teams Good Angels and Dannax Sport. In the first case the changes are linked with team’s presence in play-off EuroLeague FIBA, games of second mentioned team are affected by the duties of one of their opponents in Eurocup FIBA.
Lets start from the beginning. First change (from original fixture plan) will take place on Friday 3. of February. On that day, the 19th league round match will be held and players of Good Angels will present on the court of city rival - Cassovia Košice. Initially was that match planned a day later, but according the clubs agreement the "opening jump ball" was postponed (Friday, 4.30 pm.).
Next change will affect 20th league round of our highest woman’s basketball competition. Match of Dannax Sport and Ružomberok was planed on Wednesday February 8. Slovak vice-champion from Ružomberok is going to play a game against Russian Kursk in Eurocup FIBA where they will try to erase one point difference from the first mutual game, so they will play a match against Dannax Sport two weeks later (Wednesday, February 22.).
The exact time of that match hasn’t yet been set, but with the greatest probability it is going to be at 6 pm. Match Good Angels Košice – ŽBK Whirlpool Poprad was postponed on the same time. This match should have been played initially on February 8. at 6.30 pm., but at the end it starts at 6 pm.
Good Angels plays a second game against Russian UMMC Yekaterinburg of 1. round EuroLeague FIBA Play-Offs at the same time (6 pm.). There was just one exception in game’s time this season and the games of the most prestigious women basketball competition of "Old Continent" started at 7 pm., but the fight between Slovak and Russian champion is going to start in unusual time – on Friday February 24. at 6 pm.
According to the original plan 24 hours after game against UMMC the match Good Angels - Šamorín was planned. Taking the above mentioned facts into account we can expect the game postponement, but we don’t know the details yet. We can promise that if something new appears we will let you know.
